This embroidery is for my sister and her husbands silver wedding anniversay. It is mostly machine embroidered. The background is coloured with transfer paints and there have been a few beads and ribbon added at the end.
Its time for the daffodil diary to come alive. Daffodils was a dream I had a long, long time ago. A creative life of beads and ribbons, scrapbooks and boxes, fun things, silly things with lace trims and sparkling jewels. It’s time for it to come alive so lets start the journey

Pegdoll Tag
I have made loads of these pegdoll tags. The face and hair are drawn on with permanent marker. The dress is just paper or fabric wrapped around, decorated with sequins etc and the wings are those skeleton leaves or you could cut out cardboard ones. As well as tags I have stuck them on gifts bags or just used them instead of a bow.

Compartment Picture

I made this picture a while ago but thought I might as well put it on. You could do something like this with a theme such as 'Our holiday in Italy' including all your little momentos. All the materials are once again from Crafty Individuals. I do buy stuff from other places but this and 3D Jean are my favourite suppliers.

Altered Art
Embroidered Picture

Another kit from 3DJean was to make a canvas bag decorated with transfer paints and a bit of stitching. I thought I'd better practise on a piece of fabric before I started on the bag but the transfer worked out well and as I love embroidery I just kept sewing in to it. It's not brilliant but I enjoyed sewing again which I haven't done for a while.
Altered Art

My lovely hubby paid for me to receive some Altered Art kits from the 3DJean website. I received a monthly kit with all sorts of bits and bobs such as labels, buttons, stamps etc to do some altered art. I started using them to make some small pictures. When I had made quite a few I decided to put them in a frame, I thought they were too nice to just keep in the drawer. Anyway here are the results.
