Flower embroidery

This embroidery is for my sister and her husbands silver wedding anniversay. It is mostly machine embroidered. The background is coloured with transfer paints and there have been a few beads and ribbon added at the end.

Other Christmas makes

I made these gift boxes to hold biscuits or chocolates. I enjoyed making these paper baubles. They are just 12 strips of paper about 10cm long witha split pin at either end going through all of the strips and then they paper is just spread out to form a ball shape.

Pegdoll Tag

I have made loads of these pegdoll tags. The face and hair are drawn on with permanent marker. The dress is just paper or fabric wrapped around, decorated with sequins etc and the wings are those skeleton leaves or you could cut out cardboard ones. As well as tags I have stuck them on gifts bags or just used them instead of a bow.

Christmas all sewn up!

Do you like my little penquin with a Christmas tree. I did have him standing in a glass jar but now he's in a plant pot. I love these fabric hearts, they're so easy to make. I have a couple of them hanging in my kitchen now and they will probably stay around after Christmas too.

Christmas Decorations

And here are some paper Christmas decorations. They are just shapes cut out and decorated but I thik they look quite effective.

Table Decoration

How about this for a table decoration.

Paper Sleigh

I made a little paper sleigh for holding some chocolate coins.

More Christmas cards

Here is another selection of Christmas cards I have made.

Chrsitmas Mini Canvas

I thought for special family members I'd make them a mini canvas instead of a card.

Christmas Cards

Well I know I haven't been blogging for a while but I have been crafting, honestly! here are some of my very quick make Christmas cards which I did using 'Crafty Individuals' Christmas papers and images.

Compartment Picture

I made this picture a while ago but thought I might as well put it on. You could do something like this with a theme such as 'Our holiday in Italy' including all your little momentos. All the materials are once again from Crafty Individuals. I do buy stuff from other places but this and 3D Jean are my favourite suppliers.

Art Raffle

I've just made this for our monthly art raffle, The theme was red, orange and yellow. The frame is another chipboard shape from Crafty Individuals.

Chipboard houses

I got his idea from the Crafty Individuals site and also all of the materials. I made it while I was on holiday. It was a nice little project to pass the time.

mini canvas

Another mini canvas. I like the image on it. It's a bit quirky I got it from 3D Jeans website.I have been told it looks abit creepy! The wording on the side says DREAM.

mini canvas

Here is another design using crafty individuals Christmas images which are gorgeous!

mini canvas

I have been playing around with these mini canvases. This is one of my ideas. The corners are just napkins folded around the edges and the swirly pattern is a lovely stamp from craftyindividuals which is also where I got the butterflyimage from.

Postcard

This is a different kind of greetings card. It's a postcard with a kind of envelope wrapped around it secured by a decorative belt which just slides on and off.

Postcard

This is is different sort of greetings card. I made a post card and a kind of envelope which actually just forld around the postcard sucured by a decorative belt. I thought it looked quite nice.

Spring Card

I got this idea from the 3D Jean blogspot. It has loads of lovely projects on there. I love it.

Easel Card

Even though the summer is here (or supposed to be) I have managed to do some more crafts. I had a go at an easel card which I really enjoyed doing.

Card

A little card I just made.

Altered Art

This little frame is from Crafty Individuals, another one of my favourite websites. The film star images I bought from 3DJean.

Embroidered Picture

Another kit from 3DJean was to make a canvas bag decorated with transfer paints and a bit of stitching. I thought I'd better practise on a piece of fabric before I started on the bag but the transfer worked out well and as I love embroidery I just kept sewing in to it. It's not brilliant but I enjoyed sewing again which I haven't done for a while.

Altered Art

My lovely hubby paid for me to receive some Altered Art kits from the 3DJean website. I received a monthly kit with all sorts of bits and bobs such as labels, buttons, stamps etc to do some altered art. I started using them to make some small pictures. When I had made quite a few I decided to put them in a frame, I thought they were too nice to just keep in the drawer. Anyway here are the results.

Mini canvas 2

Mini canvas picture

At last I have a camera that works so I can add a few more bits. I have been doing some stuff these last couple of months, honest! This is a kit I bought from 3DJeans website (I love that site) with a few added bits of my own.I think it worked out well.

Paper flowers

I had my mother and sister in law round for lunch the other day. I bought some nice table settings and then thought I could have done with some flowers for the table so I quickly made these paper ones. What do you think?

Exploding Box

I thought I'd have a go at making an exploding box. I really enjoyed making it so no doubt I'll be doing more and more and more.....

Baby keepsake book

A friend at work is expecting a baby and I have made this baby book for her to write down memories and stick in keepsakes etc. Here are a few pics, I haven't included every page. It took some doing I was sat sticking for hours!
