Christmas Cards

These bird motifs were on a ack of cards I bought from Aldi. There were 3 birds per card and 8 cards in the pack so I got 24 cards out of the 1 pack. The envelope also had a silver lining so I used that for the silver border.
The images I used for these cards were from a printed sheet by Marianne Designs called Wonderland White. The owl card is a shaker card.
I'm loving my new dies from Marianne designs, the fir trees and the reindeer.
Last years favourite die the window frame
This paper was a free-be out of a magazine. It's very pretty I think

Bag Card, Gift Bag

I love using the colour scheme black, white and red or pink. I've made a little bag card and a gift bag. I put a gift voucher in the little bag but thinking about it it would have been ideal for holding mini eggs at Easter. The template for the bag can be purchased for AR Creations.

Rubber Stamp Card

I haven't had much experience with Rubber Stamps and my colouring in leaves alot to be desired but as this stamp was a free gift in a magazine I thought I'd give it a try.

Silver Wedding Anniversary Card

The 'LOVE' in the centre is recycled from a Valentines card I received.

Little Envelope Card

Another Card using a little envelope as the centrepiece

Birthday Card using a photograph

I made this for my hubby's birthday in June, I used a picture we took at Royal Ascot which was a really wonderful day for both of us so I knew it would evoke some happy memories.

June

In May I set myself a monthly target to make 1 textile piece, read 1 book and make 4 cards. I wish I had kept a record as I excelled myself. I read 4 books - Nightwatch by Sarah Waters and the Hunger Games Trilogy which I loved! I made 3 fancy dress costumes, 3 peg bags, 3 pincushions, 4 babywipe holders and I made 4 cards. Yesterday was the start of June and already I am over my target as I made 4 covered coathangers yesterday and 1 card. I have also started a new book. This month I will try and keep a photographic record of my achievements. The idea is to keep busy, keep my mind active and to hopefully keep getting better. Am I expecting too much to also plan to lose 3lbs? I'm already graving some chocolate well we'll see.
